Start a Kindness Ripple
The ripple effect starts with one. One person to hold open a door. One person to leave a note with a compliment. One person to write a thank you letter. One person to be a spark of kindness when another really needs it.

Here are a few ways you can start a kindness ripple:
Help around the house buy folding dry washing, taking out the rubbish, watering the garden or indoor plants. cleaning the bathroom sink or wiping down kitchen the benches
Play with a younger child after school or in the playground
Help another child and encourage them to do their best, especially when they are struggling with something
Invite someone different to eat lunch or play with you
Write someone a note of appreciation
Pick up rubbish on the road or around school

Why kindness? Scientific studies have shown that random acts of kindness are good for you! They improve your life satisfaction by increasing your sense of belonging and self-worth, and they improve your health by decreasing your anxiety, depression and blood pressure.
And here’s the best part: these benefits apply to the giver of kindness, the recipient of kindness, and anyone who witnesses the act! Every act improves the lives of at least three people.
