Term 2 and Te Whare Ako

Where did our classroom go? One day it was in on spot and the next another!

During the holiday, our classroom was moved and relocated next to the fitness trail. This will be the new home of the classroom of Room 18 (and Room 16) until this time next year, while the upgrade to a Modern Learning Environment is happening in our school. We are officially a construction site.

However, you may have noticed that the children of Room 18 are not in our relocated classroom but are currently to be found working, just as hard as ever, in Te Whare Ako.

We are patiently waiting while our classroom is installed with electricity, internet and fitted with a new deck and ramp. As you can see by walking past, the workmen ar busy with their nail guns and skill saws making it so we can actually get in the door and will have somewhere to sit at lunch time.

We are having to be super organised and considerate because Te Whare Ako is a learning hub and not a classroom, which means that compared to our usual space, it feels like we are working in a shoe box.

This is a huge challenge for us but it is only until next Friday (all going to plan) and anyways, who doesn't love an adventure?
